APF 2026 - Homebrew Area
Homebrew has become an important part of the pinball scene.
That’s why we’re giving this scene a dedicated stage at the Austria Pinball Festival and are even organizing a Homebrew competition.
For this, we were able to secure great support from 3 companies:

FAST Pinball
FAST Pinball, based near Seattle, was founded in 2014 by Aaron Davis and Dave Beecher.
Over the years, they developed a board set that makes it “relatively” easy to build a new pinball machine.
This provides a basic electronic system with which all necessary functions of a classic pinball machine can be realized.
Programming can be done using MPF (Mission Pinball Framework).
Aaron Davis (second from left in the picture below) from Fast Pinball will visit us at the Austrian Pinball Festival and provide advice and support.
Barrels of Fun
Barrels of Fun is a pinball manufacturer based in Houston, Texas, USA.
At Pinball Expo 2023, Barrels of Fun surprised the entire pinball industry with their presentation of the Labyrinth pinball machine.
At the show, 10 Labyrinth pinball machines were presented to the public out of nowhere, and the machine was the star of the show.
The quality of the machines is top-notch, and the brand positions itself in the collector segment.
In April 2025, the second pinball machine, Dune, was presented, based on the Legendary cinematic films.
At Expo 2025, the third pinball machine, Winchester Mystery House, was presented and immediately sold out.
In addition to the top features of the Labyrinth pinball machine, the following elements were integrated:
- Horizon Atmospheric Lighting (HAL)
- EverGloss high-gloss decals with metallic embedded details
- Shaker (Thunder From Down Under)
- Anti-reflective glass (Infinity Glass)
Barrels of Fun supports the Homebrew Community by offering components that cannot be used for production, such as cabinets, backboxes, and speaker panels, at a reduced price to the community.
RS-Pinball GmbH
RS-Pinball GmbH was founded in 2015 by Stefan Riedler and is your specialist for EVERYTHING RELATED TO PINBALL.
RS-Pinball GmbH carries all current pinball manufacturers as well as high-quality mods (Webshop) and offers the opportunity to try out most machines at the FlippArena Vöcklabruck.
For some manufacturers like Spooky Pinball, Barrels of Fun, Multimorphic, Turner Pinball, and Pinball Adventures, RS-Pinball is the exclusive or main European importer.
RS-Pinball GmbH has a subsidiary (RS-Pinball DE GmbH) in Germany, based in Rottenburg an der Laaber, where the FlippArena Gisseltshausen is located.
To give customers the opportunity to try out the latest machines as quickly as possible, RS-Pinball, with the support of the Vöcklabrucker FlipperSportVerein – FlippArena, regularly participates in various events such as pinball tournaments, conventions, and large trade fairs. This gives all visitors the chance to get a taste of the pinball world again.
In cooperation with Fast Pinball and Barrels of Fun, products for the Homebrew Community will now also be included in the range.
Homebrew Competition
We will host a Homebrew competition where the best Homebrew project showcased at the event will be honored.
Depending on the number and type of participating projects, different categories may be awarded.

Participation and Registration

Transport Support
Let us know if you need support with transporting your project to the event.
We have a lot of experience with shipping pinball machines and can provide you with advice and assistance.
Through our network, we will also try to support you with the transport itself to give you the opportunity to show your project to the public.
